Responsibilities
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Hardware Engineer to join our Group-level team. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical coordination, allocation, and optimization of hardware resources across multiple subsidiaries. You will play a critical role in managing the hardware lifecycle, supporting inventory audits, and leading strategic infrastructure projects—especially around Jetson-based devices and other performance-critical platforms.
- Ensure group-level allocation and coordination of hardware assets, including servers (Jetson / X86 server with Nvidia GPU), storage solutions and embedded systems (Intel- and Nvidia-based platforms).
- Understand and tackle technical challenges related to edge computing environments, including Nvidia Jetson embedded platforms, scalable edge-to-core architectures, and embedded video analytics systems, contributing to the design, maintenance, and troubleshooting of related solutions.
- Support hardware configuration and performance optimization for systems built on Intel CPUs and Nvidia GPUs, ensuring compatibility and stability across various deployments.
- Work with both fully customized embedded hardware as well as plug-and-play edge appliances (e.g., Irisity Edge 10), ensuring seamless deployment, integration, and troubleshooting across different environments.
- Manage the complete hardware lifecycle: procurement, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning.
- Coordinate and execute multi-site hardware audits and inventory assessments, including reconciling inconsistent tracking systems and records.
- Propose and implement hardware standardization and rationalization strategies to eliminate redundancies and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including logistics, finance, and local IT units) to align local needs with group-level directives.
- Recommend and help implement centralized asset management models.
- Handle multiple infrastructure and optimization projects across different countries and time zones.
- Travel occasionally to subsidiaries to perform assessments and support local implementation.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Minimum B2 level English proficiency, with a strong emphasis on verbal communication.
- Solid hands-on experience with various hardware types: servers, storage systems
- Strong knowledge of hardware lifecycle management principles.
- Proven experience in HW inventory audits and stock reconciliation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage heterogeneous environments across subsidiaries or international teams.
- Analytical mindset with a knack for identifying optimization opportunities and executing improvement projects.
- Experience with centralizing and streamlining hardware-related processes across organizational units.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; comfortable interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel and work on-site when necessary to ensure proper implementation
