Required Skills for a Network Engineer:

• EDP technology degree (university or comparable) or comparable degree in natural sciences
• Experience of administration of huge SDN LAN/WAN Networks ( spine/leaf) and of the set-up of routers, switches and firewalls in combination with Loadbalancers
• Reliable knowledge of Farbic design and structure
• CISCO CCIE or comparable certificates
• Experience of project support
• Specialised knowledge of Cisco (ACI) or Juniper (Apstra) (certificates on training/courses are obligatory)
• Reliable knowledge of Loadbalancers, Firewalls Radius, Tacacs and LDAP
• Experience of Traffic Shaping solutions
• Experience of configuration, maintenance, updates and security management of network and server components
• Excellent and state-of-the-art knowledge and practical knowledge of UNIX/LINUX operating system
• Experience of issuing tenders for hardware and software procurement
• Cooperative, task-orientated and matter-of -fact way of working
• English language skills in reading and writing, German is advantage

1. Design build and support complex SDN networks based on Cisco (ACI) and Juniper (Apstra) Networks components
2. Development of a network and migration concept from traditional network to a SDN network structure
3. Perform project work from concept to implementation in Cloud environments
4. Complex analysis of large networks
5. 3rd level support for operation teams
6. Security engineering and consulting
7. Development and set-up of a Cloud network design
8. Planning and choice of the network components needed (e.g. in the context of projects)
9. Solicitation of quotations
10. Set-up, maintenance and configuration of the individual components
11. A good knowledge of authentication and logging architecture as well as DNS
12. Routing and implementation of routing protocols
13. Set-up and extraction of customers dedicated and shared network areas
14. Documentation and allocation of subnetwoks or individual IPv4 and IPv6 addresses
15. Provision of traffic management
