Feladatok
- Assist the Chief Accountant in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements/reports, ensuring compliance with Hungarian GAAP.
- Oversee and help coordinate daily accounting operations: general ledger (GL), accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), fixed assets, accruals and deferrals.
- Assist Chief Accountant in the monthly / yearly closing process: reconciliations, journal entries, intercompany transactions, etc.
- Prepare and/or review tax returns (corporate income tax, VAT, local taxes), ensure timely payments and compliance with Hungarian tax laws.
- Monitor and ensure the company’s compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, including liaising with external auditors / tax authorities.
- Support internal audits, implement internal control procedures, and help maintain proper documentation and accounting policies.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial planning activities, providing management with insights.
- Supervise, mentor or guide junior accounting / finance staff; ensure team tasks are completed correctly and on time.
- Act as deputy/stand-in for the Chief Accountant in their absence.
- GL Analysis and cost analysis as required by the CFO or chief accountant
- Preparation and implementation of accounting policies. Ensure compliance with all the policies in place.
- Preparation and submission of statistical office and other government declarations within deadlines and providing the report of the submission to CFO
- Ensure timely AP bookings and payments to the suppliers
- Maintain integrity of financial master data, including COA, cost centers, and intercompany mappings.
- Verification of all invoices for contractual obligations with the contracts for compliance with the contractual terms and conditions. Kepp record of all important contracts of the company
- Keep tab on tax and accounting law changes and sending a snapshot of all the changes to Chief accountant and CFO
- Some flexibility required (e.g. during closing periods, audits) for working hours.
Elvárások
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar
- Chartered Accountant
- Minimum 4 years experience in a manufacturing company as senior accountant or higher position
- Strong grasp of Hungarian GAAP, local tax laws, and statutory accounting practices
- Proven experience with Oracle EBS R12 is essential (GL, AP, FA, INV, costing modules)
- Excel (pivot tables, lookups), Oracle reports, understanding of ERP workflows, reconciliations
- Fluency in English and Hungarian (written and spoken)
