Responsibilities
1. Innovation Strategy & Research
Identify and develop new active ingredients, formulations, and application technologies for crop protection.
Monitor global trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in biopesticides, agrochemicals, and integrated pest management (IPM).
Develop and implement an annual innovation strategy aligned with business objectives.
2. New Product & Technology Development
Lead R&D initiatives for pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, biostimulants, and biologicals.
Innovative products management from idea to registration and marketing
Collaborate with technical, regulatory, agronomy, and marketing teams to ensure product compliance and market readiness.
Optimize processes for faster and more cost-effective product development.
3. Administration tasks
Maintain a database of new developments in crop protection
Assist in the registration of new materials and prepare product specifications and other technical documentation.
Collect, analyze, and process information to prepare analytical reports and presentations
Maintain a patent database and oversee intellectual property management.
Keeping contact and negotiations with CROs and external partners
Product claims and complains management
Requirements
Master’s degree in Agronomy, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
Proven experience in R&D, product development, or innovation within the crop protection industry.
Strong knowledge of chemical and biological crop protection solutions, including the technology of plant protection product production.
Understanding of global regulatory frameworks (e.g., EPA, EFSA, FAO guidelines).
Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in building and managing external partnerships.
Nice-to-have
Fluent Hungarian, fluent English, basic knowledge of Russian
Experience in pesticides and sustainable agriculture solutions.
Proficiency in MS Office and data analysis tools.
Knowledge of patents, intellectual property management, and licensing.
