Purpose of Job:
The Analyst contributes to all phases of the project cycle, including project origination, structuring, execution, implementation, and monitoring. Under the supervision of senior bankers, the Analyst undertakes comprehensive due diligence, covering financial, market, integrity, and policy compliance, and ensures effective post-signing implementation and monitoring.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of the operation leader or a more senior banker:
Structuring and Execution
- Work as a project team member, contributing to project structuring and execution, including comprehensive research, market analysis, and financial performance evaluation.
- Analyze potential project risks, financial statements, and prepare financial models and projections.
- Assist in designing and processing technical co-operation (TC) assistance, including preparing terms of reference and internal approval documentation.
- Facilitate communication with internal units, clients, and stakeholders, preparing draft correspondence, presentations, and managing follow-up communications.
- Ensure timely and high-quality completion of assigned tasks, adhering to the Bank’s policies, procedures, and objectives.
Portfolio Monitoring, Value Creation and Reporting
- Implement and monitor assigned projects, ensuring compliance with project agreements and Bank procedures related to disbursement, project progress, and financial performance.
- Assess evolving risk factors, monitor covenant compliance, and prepare comprehensive draft monitoring reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
- Support effective implementation and monitoring of TC assignments, including communication with TC clients, monitoring TC fund usage, and preparing relevant progress and completion reports.
The responsibilities of the Analyst are designed to allow for progressive involvement in more complex tasks and an expansion of responsibilities based on acquired experience and expertise.
Qualifications & Skills / Experience & Knowledge:
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in the areas of expertise.
- Professional qualification such as ACA, CFA, ACCA, or CIMA desirable.
- Quantitative/numerical skills are critical with the ability to interpret financial information and to design and use financial models.
- Credit analysis skills, with the ability to interpret accounts, understanding local and international accounting principles and practice of credit analysis.
- Computer literacy, conversant with Microsoft Office and spread sheet packages including financial analysis and modelling modules.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and to deadlines and under time pressure.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English & Hungarian
Experience & Knowledge:
- Relevant financial industry experience from an investment or commercial bank, private equity firm, asset management firm, or auditing/financial consulting firm operating to international standards.
- Exposure to industry/country experience.
