Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and develop the Hungarian Field Service Engineering team.
- Day-to-day management of field service team to ensure balanced distribution of Freshdesk tickets across the EMEA team
- Provide backup support to US and APAC counterparts when required.
- Mentor, coach, and train engineers to strengthen technical expertise and customer service skills.
Customer Service & Technical Support
- Act as the company’s representative to customers, ensuring service excellence and satisfaction.
- Directly support resolution of complex technical issues, using advanced diagnostic tools and methods.
- Coordinate with Application Engineers on machine installations and hypercare activities.
- Serve as an escalation point for the frontline team, managing and resolving complex customer issues to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
Operations & Inventory Management
- Oversee spare parts inventory in Hungary, ensuring optimal stock levels and collaboration with operations teams on storage and logistics.
- Organize travel arrangements for FSEs and ensure required parts and tools are available for field assignments.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to AMT quality standards.
Collaboration & Communication
- Maintain close communication with customers, internal teams (US and Hungary), and external partners such as service contractors.
- Act as a key liaison with Hungarian R&D, providing field feedback to drive product improvements and serviceability.
- Foster cross-regional collaboration with the US and APAC field service organizations.
- Partner with commercial teams to strengthen customer relationships and maximize satisfaction throughout the lifecycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in field service, technical support, or engineering management (preferably within additive manufacturing, CNC, or industrial equipment).
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading distributed technical teams.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
- Proficiency with service ticketing platforms (e.g., Freshdesk) and diagnostic software tools.
- Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to collaborate across geographies and cultures.
- Fluent in English; Hungarian or other European languages a plus.
