- 5+ years’ experience as a Security Architect or senior security consultant
- Fluent German (C1+) and very good English for daily communication with DACH clients
- Proven experience as a Security Architect or Senior Security Consultant
- Strong background in network security and identity & access management (IAM)
- Hands-on expertise with SIEM, EDR/XDR, and vulnerability management tools
- Solid knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid/on-prem environments
- Experience leading or mentoring a SOC / security operations team
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, GDPR)
- Excellent consulting and presentation skills—comfortable with both executives and technical teams
Nice to Have
- Strong soft skills: stakeholder communication, workshop facilitation, mentoring junior specialists
- Extra technologies: Terraform/Ansible, Kubernetes/Docker security, scripting (Python, PowerShell)
- Cerificats: CISSP, CCSP, OSCP, GIAC, AWS/Azure security certifications

About the Project
omniIT GmbH, together with its Polish sister company omniIQ, delivers end-to-end IT security, cloud, and platform engineering services for enterprise clients across Europe.
We are expanding in the DACH region and are looking for a German-speaking Security Architect / Consultant to lead high-impact security initiatives.
You will design secure cloud and on-prem infrastructures, guide our small SOC team, and act as a trusted consultant for German-speaking customers.

Your Role
Lead the architecture and implementation of enterprise security solutions, drive pre-sales engagements, mentor the SOC team, and oversee SIEM, EDR/XDR, and vulnerability management across client and internal projects.

- Act as technical lead for internal and client security projects from planning to delivery
- Drive pre-sales engagements: gather requirements, prepare proposals, and present solutions to DACH clients
- Mentor and guide the SOC team, ensuring best practices and continuous improvement
- Oversee SIEM, EDR/XDR, and vulnerability management strategies and integrations
- Serve as a trusted advisor for both executive stakeholders and technical teams
