Qualification & Experience Requirements

• Capability to understand the backend Java code (white box testing).
• Deep knowledge about testing patterns, standards.
• Deep understanding of REST API testing, backend flows, and integration testing principles.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and service-to-service communication patterns.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar).
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to interpret and work with API specs (Swagger/OpenAPI, DTOs, contracts).
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a hands-on engineering mindset.
• Proficient English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to Switzerland in every 6-8 weeks (approximately 4 days/visit).

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka or event-driven testing.
• Python knowledge for scripting or internal tooling.
• Experience in financial or banking environments.
• Background in building test frameworks from scratch.

For our Swiss banking project, we are looking for a full-time QA Automation Engineer to be the newest Expert of our team.

1. Design, develop, and maintain a backend integration testing framework for a microservices-based system.
2. Build automated REST API test flows, including multi-step, chained and asynchronous processes (e.g. POST → polling → state validation).
3. Create and maintain automated integration tests aligned with the client’s quality strategy and domain requirements.
4. Collaborate closely with backend engineers to understand API contracts, service interactions, and data flows.
5. Validate and monitor public API contracts to ensure stability across releases.
6. Contribute to the introduction of Kafka event-based testing in later phases.
