Responsibilities
- Procurement of the required articles (raw materials for folding carton production) for the Edelmann Group
- Preparing market analyses taking into account various indices as a basis for the purchasing and disposal strategy
- Strategic planning of the disposal of recyclable materials, in particular waste paper, for the Edelmann sites in Germany
- Preparation and presentation of purchasing statistics
- Processing enquiries from sales, customers and suppliers
- Analysing offers and the corresponding product selection
- Supplier support including the planning, implementation and follow-up of negotiations
- Evaluation of current and future suppliers including supplier selection
Requirements
- Successfully completed business studies or commercial/technical training with additional qualifications such as a specialist/business economist
- Professional experience in strategic purchasing in a manufacturing company is an advantage (industry knowledge desirable)
- Negotiating skills and assertiveness combined with analytical and conceptual skills
- Strong ability to work effectively in a team
- Good knowledge of purchasing law desirable
- Fluency in written and spoken German and English
- Independent and autonomous working style with a willingness to travel occasionally
